Ireland has undergone a considerable development in last decade, and is opening new exciting job opportunities for young grads. Engineers Ireland has recently announced that students must appreciate the emerging engineering job opportunities in the Irish economy. This statement was basically a response to newspaper citation whereby the newspapers claimed high level of university students that are dropping out of science and technology courses in university.

Engineers Ireland’s director general John Power emphasized to identify the importance of engineering and technology career. He said that “we must clearly focus on the teaching of maths and science, incentivize these teachers and do whatever it takes to improve the standard of teaching in these subjects in second-level”. On the other hand he advised students to appreciate the growing opportunities.

Due to the global recession, many of the sectors are heavily hit by the downturn, but, there are still technology, science and engineering jobs available.
