Published by cyberdesignz | Filed under Health

The bodily functions of both male and female are dependent upon the stability of hormonal levels. The chemical nature of the hormones has biological action on the human beings. With age, the hormonal secretions change and so the bodily functions get affected.

In females, a number of hormones stop their production due to menopause, which takes place usually during their mid-forties. Because of these changes, a number of women are faced with emotional and physical symptoms. A number of doctors are thus in the favor that women should get proper nourishment through hormone replacement therapies and overcome the deficiencies.

Impacts of Hormone Replacement Therapy for Women:

Hormone Replacement Therapy, abbreviated as HRT, is a commonly used therapy by thousands of women. Specialists from all over the world are in the favor of HRT and suggest women, who had been past their menopausal stage to take natural hormonal therapies such as estrogen and progestogen hormone therapy to get over the post-menopausal symptoms of hot flushes, night sweats, irritability and more.

Studies Conducted by Women’s International Study of long Duration Estrogen after Menopause (WISDOM):

A study, which involved 2130 post-menopausal women, who had taken combined estrogen and progestogen therapies, showed that those women did not have menopausal symptoms even after 13 years of the hormonal impediment.

The leader of Australian WISDOM group states, “Results show that hot flushes, night sweats, sleeplessness, and joint pains were less common in women on HRT.”

Other studies also suggested that HRT taken near the menopause avoid cardiovascular risks more in women, than the treatment, which is initiated many years after menopause. In addition, the replacement therapy showed a great resistance towards the increase of breast cancer.
