How To Give Charity For The Muslims Who Passed Away?
Published by cyberdesignz | Filed under Quran Education
According to Imam Abu Dawood (P.B.U.H) the Aa’s son of Vayl has made a will to free 100 slaves after his death. Hisham was his son and he freed 50 slaves, his son freed almost 50 slaves, but before doing this he wanted to ask Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Therefore, he went to Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and asked (Oh Prophet of Allah!) (Sallallaho Alihi Wassallam) my father had made a will to free 100 slaves and my brother has freed 50 shall I free the other 50” Prophet (Sallallaho Alihi Wassallam) replied, “If he (Aa’s bin Vayl) had been Muslim then if you would free them or do charity or perform pilgrimage it would reach him.”
Similarly according to Imam Nassai that the son of Abbas (P.B.U.H) said: “ One women asked Prophet (P.B.U.H) , my father has passed away and he did not perform pilgrimage. Prophet (P.B.U.H) replied: “Perform pilgrimage for your father.”
It is said that one should recite the verses of Holy Quran when he passes by the grave. According to Imam Tibrani and Darul Qatnni, prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) said: “Whoever passes by the grave and recited “Qul ho Wallah-ho-Ahd” will get the reward equal to the number of dead bodies.
All the above mentioned ahadith are a proof of importance of reciting the Holy Quran. One must keep in mind that dua is accepted when Holy Quran is complete and lots of people recite the Holy Quran in the times of depression and calamity. May Allah save us from the evil traps of Satan and grant us the blessings of paradise.
