New York Amusement Park Banned For Muslim Women With Headscarves

On a headgear issue, a large scale altercation erupted between the Muslims and park rangers over a disagreement. After this event amusement park of New York was shut down temporarily.  Many Muslim women were denied the access of many rides as they were wearing Hijab which is their traditional headscarves. The headgear policy is designed for the protection of patrons and the first factor that needs to keep in mind is the safety. This policy was articulated to the tour operator and unfortunately the message failed to reach some of the members of the group. The dispute started when the park officials offered some refunds and the members of Muslim group got in scuffle. Some of the two park rangers got injured as they jumped into the breakup and later on they were shifted to the hospitals.

From the nine agencies Dozens of Police vehicles rushed to the park where officers arrested almost 15 people and most of them for disorderly conduct. The disturbance occurred between 40 people. These visitors were not allowed between 4 to 6 pm. Tour Group named “The Muslim American Society of New York” was at a park to celebrate the Holy Muslim festival Eid-ul-Fitr, which is also an Islamic holiday and it marks the end of Ramadan. Everyone got upset with this type of happening. A 16 year old witnessed said that she saw some girls and women entering the park. They were wearing Hijabs. Some of the security officials tried to stop them. The Women got upset and started yelling and the security officials then pushed them to the ground and handcuffed them. This started the whole dispute.
