Be Loyal to Yourself while Hunting a Job

No matter how much educated and experienced you are, while looking for jobs you will find yourself helpless and powerless. This is actually not due to any short fall from your side but it is due to the fact that most of the times things get delayed from the part of employer or recruitment agencies. The basic hurdle one face is while getting started with the recruitment process. The simple way to make your relax is to think that perhaps there are a number of applicants waiting to be interviewed for the same position, but you are the only one that can come up to the interviewer’s expectations.
Remember the lists you have made of your personal qualities, your strengths, the weaknesses you have identified which can really be presented as additional strengths. Let your mind slowly search through the mental picture of your resume and pound those bullet-pointed skills into your skull. Focus on your worth as a human being. You are about to be judged by a recruitment agency or the employer, who doesn’t know you at all and who will have less than 60 minutes to assess your qualities. Whatever the result, remind yourself that it is not the entire you being accepted or rejected, just your skills and qualities matched against a company’s needs.
If you feel awkward or very uneasy with the process or the company or the interviewer(s) are not a good fit for you then there is no need to worry about this issue, this process may be helpful in the long run and can be a blessing favor for you.
The most important two steps to maintaining your enthusiasm while going through a recruitment process are the following:
a) Relax and release the stress. Don’t cross-examine every question asked and every answer given otherwise you can follow a state of self-criticism. You just have to wait whether or not you’ll receive an offer while hopping for the best.
b) Be kind to yourself. If possible take your family out for a dinner to mix with them and release the burden of job hunt for couple of hours. If finances don’t allow you then at least sit with your family to share the experience of your interview or chat about any general topic to release the job fever for some time.
