Recruitment – Where are we today?
Published by admin | Filed under Recruitment
Recruitment agencies use a simplified information system that is capable of storing resumes from candidates, reference checks, and phone numbers. These recruitment agencies capture all candidates in their systems and sometimes even ask them to enter their own information. Sometimes they have CVs of around 5 or 10 years back and so these become redundant.
The old fashioned hiring techniques must be changed with an authenticated, fast and easy one. In most of the cases when it is required to make the fast decisions, the quality of the decision suffers.
It has been observed in some situations where companies and managers had absolutely no idea what they wanted. They start recruitment to get a single out of the entire lot that has maximum education, job skills, and experiences in the relevant field.
Currently many employers often delegate responsibility of hiring to a single person. That single person has the weight of expectations on their shoulders to find a dynamite candidate. The problem with this approach is that it rarely works. Rarely does a perfect candidate come through the door and rarely will you find them. This is because you are relying on one person rather than a group of people. Often the person responsible for hiring has other commitments and if these other commitments take priority then you will have to hire a recruitment agency at the eleventh hour. Hiring should be a conversation between:
- candidates
- employers
- recruiters
- internal staff
- friends
- referrals
- associates
These members can guide a job seeker towards his aim with enthusiastic support and proper guidance.
