Role of Staff in the Hiring Process
Published by admin | Filed under Recruitment
Every employer company and recruitment agency has different views about the best applicant except some of the common abilities. Almost every recruitment agent tries to customize their candidate to fit the idealized match of a hiring manager or description of jobs offered. New employees will be working with the company in a specific department team more than the hiring manager. If you do not get your team involved in the hiring process, then you are simply hiring for yourself.
Here are some useful contributions on the basis of experience that will definitely help you to customize your recruitment process.
Teams should be allowed to conduct interviews:
The candidate will also know about the nature of the job and responsibilities along with the working environment of the team. This will also increase buy-in to the hiring process.
Team should be honest about the feedback for a particular candidate:
A team member can better tell about certain candidate that weather he/ she can adjust with the company and its working environment or not. So, the team should be sincere with the comments.
Set up criteria:
If candidates, recruitment agencies, and your team don’t know what is expected from them, than you will not be able to hire a suitable candidate. Make a plan; establish mutual criteria or a measurement point from which you will evaluate a candidate. This could be as simple as a numbered list of qualities and a rating scale beside them.
Systematic approach:
The system has to be formalized and reliable. Make sure that everyone knows the rules, and everyone adheres to the processes that you have put in place.
Firm decisions:
There is nothing worse than a hiring manager flip-flopping on decisions about candidates. It sends a bad message to the candidate and everyone else that may be involved.
