Deeds For SHAB-E-MERAJ

Being a Muslim it is most important to know about Islamic months and its importance. This month continuing now days is RAJAB. According to this month we have one most important day as Islamic point of view that is known as “Shab-E-Meraj” when Muhammad (p.b.u.h) made known to the mankind his mission of prophet hood dated on 27^th Rajab that will be on 28^th June 2011. So we all as true Muslims must focus on Quran Recitation and worship of God as it is the highly blessed night.

There are some necessary steps regarding worship for this special night.

v  To prepare yourself for Ibadaah (worship), take bath and wear clean clothes.

v  Perform some Almsgiving for the sake of Allah

v  When mid night will start, offer 12 Rakaat Namaz (prayer) in 6 divisions performing 2 Rakaat in each.

v  Recite Surah Al-Fatiha and any other surah which you have memorized well.

v  After reciting other surah, recite Surah Al-Fatiha, Surah Al-Ikhlaas, Surah Al-Falaq, Surah Al-Naas, Surah Al-Kaafiroon, Surah Al-Qadr and Ayat-ul-Kursi seven times each.

v  After completing this prayer recite the following Dua.

“AL-HAMDU LILLAAHILLAD’EE LAM YATTAKHID’WALADAN WA LAM YAKULLAHOO SHAREEKUN FIL MULKI WA LAM YAKULLAHOO WALIYYUN MINAD’D’ULLI WA KABBIRHU TAKBEERAA” and “ALLAHUMMA INNEE AS-ALUKA BI-MA-A’AQIDI I’ZZIKA A’LAA ARKAANI A’RSHIKA WA MUNTAHAR RAH’MATI MIN KITAABIKA WA BISMIKAL AA’-Z’AMIL  AA’-Z’AMIL  AA’-Z’AM WA D’IKRIKAL AA’-LAL WA BI-KALIMAATIKAT TAAMMAATIKAL AN TUS’ALLIYA A’LAA MUH’AMMADI WA AALIHEE WA AN TAF-A’LA BEEMAA ANTA AHLU”

v  Then recite the zyarat of Muhammad (p.b.u.h) and of Imam Ali Ibn Talib (A.s).

v  Observe fast on 28^th, 29^th, and on 30^th of Rajab after all worship in the night.

v  Recite Darood Pak as much as you can and do Quran Recitation after every obligatory prayer or when you have time to recite.

Now be prepare to welcome such a beautiful night full of blessings. Jazak Allah Khair.
