Many people yearn for the job of a Quran tutor. This is because from the Islamic point of view this is one of the noblest jobs. However, it is extremely important for the Quran tutor to be extremely competent because the students might come up with tough questions.
The flowing are some the very important verses for the Quran tutor along with brief explanations. These verses might guide him or her throughout the teaching process.
- You who believe! Do not put questions about things which if declared to you may trouble you, and if you question about them when the Quran is being revealed, they shall be declared to you; Allah pardons this, and Allah is Forgiving, Forbearing. Al-Maeda [5:101]
The Quran tutor should recite this verse in the first teaching session because this might be very important for the students.
- Do they not then meditate on the Quran? And if it were from any other than Allah, they would have found in it many a discrepancy. An-Nisa [4:82]
The Quran tutor must realize that when the students are going to mediate they might be asking questions.
- And this Quran is not such as could be forged by those besides Allah, but it is a verification of that which is before it and a clear explanation of the book, there is no doubt in it, from the Lord of the worlds. Yunus [10:37]
The Quran tutor should try to inculcate a strong belief in the students that the words of Quran are from Allah Almighty. Sometimes the human mind may question things only because it has limited intellect.
