A true Muslim submits to the commandments and will of Allah Almighty, he tries to live life in a way described by Allah in his book Holy Quran. The Quran is the best source of guidance for a Muslim, because it is the true word of Allah, and is without any human addition or omission.

In Quran Allah (SWT) says,
Al-Baqara[2:231] …. He sent down to you the book and wisdom, for your instruction. And fear Allah and know that Allah is well acquainted with all things.
By this Ayaah, it can be easily understood that why Islam emphasis on the learning of Quran, as well as Quran teaching, and counts it as one of the primary religious responsibilities.
Learning Quran makes a person identify the signs of Allah.
And one of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your tongues and colors; most surely there are signs in this for the learned. (30:22)
By learning Quran a person can better identify the signs of Allah Almighty, and all the blessing he has bestowed upon us.
But the duty of a true Muslim does not end at learning Quran and applying its teaching to his own self only. Instead, a true Muslim must preach and teach the Quran to other fellow Muslims as well, so that they can also be able to better recognize the signs of Allah, and turn towards him for guidance.
So, by learning Quran and then teaching it to others, you make them realize the signs of Allah Almighty, the recognition of which, makes a Muslim do more praise of Allah and ask for his Blessing.
