Published by cyberdesignz | Filed under Religion

It is very clear that Ramadan is the month of blessings, and we can become acquainted with the Holy Quran. For almost eleven months of the year, Holy Quran sits on the shelf with dust, and it was ignored and neglected at that time.

Ramadan is the Holy Month of Quran. It lies in the ninth month of Islamic Calendar, and is considered as the holiest month of year. In the 610 A.D, Prophet Muhammad received the revelations from God. Ramadan also commemorates part of the year when Holy Quran was revealed. As it is said in the Verse that

“The Holy Quran was sent down as guidance for all the people, and for judgment between   the right and wrong.” Another verse of the Holy Quran states that it was revealed “on the night of determination”. This sacred month was chosen for the Holy Quran.

The Holy month and season begins with the sighting of moon on the evening, and then it follows the new moon which lasts for about 29 to 30 days depending upon the lunar cycle. According to Holy Quran, it is said that Muslims must see the new moon with the naked eye in order to start the fast.

The verses of Holy Quran explain about the link between the month of Ramadan and Quran. The revelation of Quran to Prophet Muhammad started in the month of Ramadan. Although there is much importance of Reading Holy Quran but its recitation in the month of Ramadan is of great significance.
