Culture refers to the language, thought, arts & science, spirituality, social activity; interaction etc. culture is defined as a complete way of person’s life including objectives, ideas, traditions customs and beliefs. There are so many cultures and sub cultures adopted by the people. Here in this discussion we will focus on tow types of cultures. The first is culture of Islam that is the complete way of life with Quran and Sunnah. Second is the western culture. Although both cultures having complete way of life but there is drastic difference between both of them.

The culture of Islam is the complete way of life because it is the culture of our beloved prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h). He established his sahaba from the way of jahliat (ignorance). On the other side is the western culture that is established by host people who believe to marriage with similar gender.

Islamic culture shows morality and simplicity in every aspect of life. There are some of the waste characteristics of Islamic culture:

v  No flirtatious intent is there.

v  The laws of Hijab are mentioned and people used to follow them.

v  There is no free intermingling between male and female

v  People of Islam dress up modestly

v  The duties are mentioned in Quran for both men and women separately as women is in charge of house hold activities and man is responsible for house hold income.

v  There is a purpose of living in Islamic culture. Muslims believe that we are here for short period for worship of Allah.

On the other side, in the western culture, two opposite sex (male & female) living together as they are marry to each other but never marry. It is like a norm there. The western culture highlights the immorality especially in dressing that is more attracting and arousing to opposite sex. Fashion slavery is the sign of western culture. The mind set of western culture is just enjoyment and fun chasing. There is no specific mission of life but just to make money. They dispatch old parents to old houses.

Many Muslims adopted western culture extravagantly. Deen is becoming a “side-line” for them. This is an alarming situation. The only safeguard is Quran and Sunnah to stop the roots of western culture.       O’ Allah keep the Islamic culture safe from mix-up with West.  Jazak Allah khair.
